Australian Fintech Award winners

We are pleased to announce that one of our clients, Brighte, has won the prestigious Australian Fintech Award for Innovation in Lending.

The Australian fintech sector gathered in Sydney on the 1st of August to celebrate the 3rd Annual Australian Fintech Awards. The awards celebrate the achievements and successes of the people and businesses comprising the Australian fintech sector. The keynote speaker at the awards was The Hon. Scott Morrison MP, Treasurer, Federal Member for Cook.

The Innovation in Lending award recognises a business which offers a new or significantly improved service that implements technology to bring benefits to both lenders and borrowers. Judges were looking for innovative credit modeling, use of data elements and/or an improved user experience.

In addition to the Innovation in Lending Award, Katherine McConnell, the CEO and founder of Brighte, was awarded the Fintech Leader of the Year award which recognises an outstanding individual who has persistently contributed to the advancement of the fintech sector.

Brighte is innovating in 'no interest' consumer payment plans by streamlining processes and targeting niche segments of the market such as solar and smart home technologies. Brighte offers consumers a faster and simpler way to pay and provide vendors with a tool that will drive increased sales and assist with working capital. Brighte use finPOWER Connect in combination with their own in-house developed front end system to provide a seamless and efficient system of client onboarding, vendor transaction processing and loan management.

We congratulate Brighte and Katherine on their fantastic achievements in winning these awards and look forward to continuing to work with them in the coming years.
